AmCAD Presents Clinical Studies at WDSS 2026, Expanding AmCAD-UO Applications in Treatment Decisions

At the World Dentofacial Sleep Society (WDSS) conference in Baltimore, AmCAD BioMed collaborated with four leading sleep medicine experts to present breakthrough clinical findings. The research shows that AmCAD-UO not only enables rapid risk assessment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), but also expands into personalized treatment decisions, preoperative evaluations, and postoperative tracking, demonstrating high clinical versatility.


Four experts across pediatric, dental, sleep medicine, and ENT fields highlighted AmCAD-UO’s potential across the full OSA care pathway:

  • Upper Airway Assessment & Personalized Care

    Dr. Clete Kushida, Chief of Stanford Sleep Medicine Center

    Maps upper airway structures to help clinicians identify obstruction sites and tissue characteristics, enabling personalized care pathways and boosting patient satisfaction.

  • Objective Assessment for Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation (HNS)

    Dr. Kurt Tschopp, Senior Consultant and Head of the ENT Clinic at Kantonsspital Baselland (KSBL), Switzerland.

    Utilizes AmCAD-UO’s proprietary Backscattered Ultrasonographic Imaging (BUI) technology to obtain critical imaging data, delivering objective preoperative evaluations for HNS therapy.

  • Adenotosillectomy (T&A) Efficacy Assessment in Pediatric OSA

    Dr. Wei-Chung Hsu, Director of the Sleep Center at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH)

    Uses real-time dynamic ultrasound imaging to observe pharyngeal anatomical features and post-surgical structural changes in children with OSA, providing objective data to evaluate treatment outcomes.

  • Candidate Screening for Mandibular Advancement Therapy (MAD)
